Dr. Hans Clevers describes how his lab discovered Lgr5 stem cells in the intestine that lead to the culture of mini-guts, or organoids, and how the culture system has evolved. A pioneer in the development of organoid technologies, Dr. Clevers is a group leader at the Hubrecht Institute.
