Cells separated using STEMCELL Technologies' EasySep™ Mouse Positive Selection Kits are already fluorescently labeled and therefore immediately available for Flow Cytometry Analysis or Fluorescent Activated Cell Sorting (FACS).

Our second generation EasySep™ Mouse Positive Selection Kits II can be stained post-selection and this is indicated on the Product Information Sheet (PIS) for each kit. Please refer to the respective PIS for the kit you are using to obtain suggestions on which antibody clone to use for assessing purity (and the amount to add, where applicable).

For EasySep™ Human Separation Kits that do not use fluorescent labeling reagents, fluorochrome conjugated antibodies can be added to the cells at the same time as the cell selection cocktail, in order to avoid antibody blocking during detection downstream. To do so, simply add the desired fluorochrome conjugated antibodies at a final concentration of 0.4 µg/mL immediately after adding the EasySep™ selection cocktail. This will provide a strong detection signal without affecting separation performance. Please note: This method labels the positive cells in the entire sample.
